Ever since Chuck and I moved in to our new place, I've had this favorite little corner of the dining room that I just can't get enough of. While some people have favorite rooms, I’m still new to this whole house thing and am completely amazed that we have more than 8 corners. So, obviously, I’m enamored.
This little nook in the dining room is by far one of the brightest areas of the house and the way the light comes through the window in the morning makes it look almost magical. Just perfect for curling up in a comfy chair with a book and a cup of tea. But since we’ve been working on filling our place with furniture and making it feel more like home, it’s been bare for the past 6 months.
Rather than stare at an empty corner for one more second, I decided to just make something myself.
Using a bouquet of flowers I had left over from a friend’s visit as inspiration, I drew this pretty, modern line art. Then I scanned it into the computer, edited it in Photoshop to clean it up, and printed it out again so it would be perfectly centered and small enough to fit some of the frames we had lying around.
And now for the detail shot. Oooh. Aaah.
So how’s that for a $0 dining room face lift?
