An avocado a day keeps the doctor away. Or at least that's what I've been reading all over the internet lately. It turns out that avocados are better for you than anyone ever thought, and eating as many as 1 a day can drastically improve heart health, regulate blood sugar, and fight inflammation.

Science shows that the greatest concentration of vitamins and minerals is directly beneath the dark green skin, so it's best to peel your avocado just like you would peel a banana. After removing the seed, cut your avocado into fourths lengthwise and use your thumb and index finger to grip the edge of the skin on each quarter and peel it off. That should give you the most nutritional bang for you buck.
